70Nestled in the scenic Beulah Valley within Colorado’s Unit 84, Easy Yoke Ranch offers a unique and meaningful opportunity for mule deer doe hunters—especially youth hunters and disabled veterans looking to fill doe tags and their freezers. This 70-acre property directly borders the San Isabel National Forest on two sides, opening up access to expansive public land that is otherwise difficult to reach without crossing private property. Doe hunts on Easy Yoke Ranch are scheduled around the operations of a Christian retreat center located on the property, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive hunting experience with minimal pressure. For those who wish to stay close to the hunt, limited lodging may be available at the retreat center when not in use, with additional accommodations in nearby Beulah, Pueblo, or Colorado Springs via Airbnb or local hotels. Unit 84 typically offers accessible options for securing mule deer doe tags, making this a highly approachable hunt for both in-state and out-of-state participants. With foot-access-only hunting and direct entry into less-traveled portions of the San Isabel, Easy Yoke Ranch stands out as a welcoming and supportive environment for newer hunters and those with special access needs. Important note for hunters: there are several homes on the southern boundary of the property. All firearm use near these residences is strictly prohibited and any violations will result in fines.
Easy Yoke Ranch consists of classic mule deer habitat, featuring a diverse mix of Ponderosa Pine and Juniper woodlands with varied elevation changes that offer excellent cover, bedding areas, and feeding grounds for deer. Backing directly onto the San Isabel National Forest, the property provides seamless access to vast stretches of public land that mule deer frequently use for movement and seasonal migration, significantly expanding the huntable area. Beulah Valley is well-regarded for its healthy mule deer population, and this ranch is no exception—hunters can expect strong odds of success due to the consistent presence of deer on and around the property. One standout feature is North Creek, which flows through the southern portion of the ranch, offering a year-round water source that attracts wildlife and supports a thriving local ecosystem. With a balance of dense cover and open glades, the terrain allows hunters to glass, stalk, and set up for optimal shots, whether you're hunting with a rifle or archery equipment. The property’s foot-access-only policy ensures a quiet, lightly pressured environment, perfect for a quality mule deer hunt in a scenic and secluded setting.
