Notes from the landowner

This property is located on the South Platte just south of Greeley, CO where hunting activity is kept to a minimum which means this property offers pristine, undisturbed, waterfowl hunting. On this property, hunters have access to a blind that can comfortably fit 4. Hunters need to bring all things necessary for this hunt including decoys, chairs, calls etc. Hunters must bring all tags and licenses required and abide by all Colorado State rules and regulations.

Game and habitat information

This property is located near the South Platte River, on a warm slough located in the cottonwoods. The slough is located approximately 100 yards from the river. This location and the surrounding areas see little hunting pressure creating an excellent place to find birds. On this property, you are likely to find a variety of duck species along with diverse habitat making this a popular spot for birds to find refuge on this slough. The slough benefits from warm water year round and stays open during the colder months. The proximity this property has to ag fields also provides birds to retreat to the river after feeding in the fields.

A lot of issues with this property. Wouldn’t recommend. Infinite has some really good properties but this one’s not good. Would recommend looking at another one of there properties.

Thank you for your feedback Charley. We would love to continue to improve the property and hunting experience. It would be helpful for us if you could let us know specific examples of things we can improve. Thank you for helping us to get better.

The slough itself I cool and looked like it would be an awesome spot. The location of the blind was in an odd spot that we didn’t find to be ideal. The river spot is pretty close to the slough blind so you are competing with hunters that are in pretty close proximity. I would say it is similar to what it would be like public land hunting. This spot has potential if the blind was in a better spot and if the river wasn’t hunted on the same day.

The property was easy find (driving directions), but the gate code we were provided did not work. We had to find a way around the gate and then pack out our stuff from edge of the property to the blind. It wasn't the end of the world, but would have been a lot more convenient if the gate code worked. Also the map provided of the property wasn't too helpful, but we eventually found the blind.

The lock for the gate was dead so we could not access it as planned or park in the expected area. We parked outside the gate then walked in instead.

I'm a novice waterfowl hunter so from that perspective, it was difficult conditions to determine if I was in the right spot and the slough bottom was treacherous to wade in. I saw ducks, but not at the blind. Maybe this is just not a good property for an inexperienced waterfowl hunter. Still had a great time overall.

Had a good time and loved the property. Not being able to locate the blind plus people trespassing 150yrs away down river killed the morning hunt scared everything off. Came back in the afternoon and set up on the island had a good shoot.
