1-DayFound in the Beulah Valley and located in Colorado’s Unit 84, Easy Yoke Ranch provides hunters with a rare opportunity to chase gobblers in one of the state’s most densely populated turkey regions. This 70-acre property borders San Isabel National Forest on two sides, giving hunters direct access to large swaths of public land - much of which is otherwise unreachable or challenging to access without crossing private ground. Hunts at Easy Yoke Ranch are limited to times when the Christian retreat center on the property is not in use, adding an element of exclusivity and ensuring minimal pressure. For those looking to stay on-site, lodging at the retreat center can sometimes be arranged based on availability. Nearby options include Airbnb rentals in the Beulah area or hotels in nearby Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Turkey licenses for Unit 84 are available over the counter, making this an easy and accessible option for both in-state and out-of-state hunters. If you’re looking for a lightly pressured, foot-access-only turkey hunt with prime access into a hard-to-reach area of the San Isabel, Easy Yoke Ranch should be at the top of your list. Hunters please note - there are several houses on the south end of this property - all discharging of firearms near these houses is strictly prohibited, and will be a fineable offense.
Easy Yoke Ranch covers about 70 acres of Ponderosa Pine and Juniper woods, with some nice changes in elevation that make it great turkey habitat. It also backs right up to the San Isabel National Forest, which adds even more space for the birds to roost and move around. Beulah Valley is known for having one of the highest turkey populations in the state, and in the spring, you’ll often see big flocks moving through the area. The birds here are Merriam’s turkeys, known for their bright white-tipped tail feathers and their preference for mountainous, forested terrain. They’re especially vocal and active in the spring, making them a fun and responsive species to hunt. This is when the toms are fired up and ready to breed, which makes for a really fun and active hunt if you enjoy calling and working birds in close. One of the great features of the ranch is North Creek, which runs through the southern end of the property and gives the turkeys (and everything else) a steady water source. There are plenty of trees for roosting and a number of open pockets throughout the property where toms like to strut. Spring turkey tags for this unit (GMU 84) are available over the counter, so it’s easy to plan your hunt without having to worry about drawing a tag. Between the great habitat, high bird numbers, and convenient access, Easy Yoke Ranch is a solid option for any hunter looking to get after spring turkeys in southern Colorado.
1-day hunts. If multi-day hunts are desired, each day must be booked individually.
Over the counter tags!
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. The outdoorsman fee will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
