Notes from the landowner

Walsh Ranch is located just outside of Meeker, Colorado and offers high quality mule deer hunting within GMU 211. Spanning over 600 acres, the property features classic northwest Colorado mule deer terrain with extensive sage, piñon, and juniper cover, along with reliable water sources that keep deer on the ranch throughout the season. Sitting around 6,000 feet in elevation and directly connected to roughly 5,000 acres of public land, the ranch provides excellent movement corridors and consistent daily deer activity. Mule deer are seen regularly, and patient hunters will find opportunities at mature bucks using both the private ground and adjacent public land.

Elk are also present and can be hunted during the same timeframe for an additional fee, giving hunters the option to pursue both species on a single adventure.

For second rifle season, a camp will be set up and available for attending parties, with a four person minimum preferred for that season. During fourth rifle season, a camp will not be provided, and hunters should contact Infinite Outdoors directly for details and logistics specific to that timeframe. All hunters must be active Infinite Outdoors members in order to legally access this property.

Game and habitat information

Walsh Ranch sits in the heart of premier mule deer habitat just west of Meeker, Colorado. From a biological standpoint, the property offers everything mule deer need to thrive. Productive agricultural fields nearby provide a consistent and dependable food source, while the ranch itself and the adjoining BLM ground offer secure bedding cover and travel corridors. Deer regularly move between feed and cover, creating predictable daily patterns, especially during low light hours. Rut activity typically begins to increase in September, with mature bucks becoming more visible as they cruise transition areas and edges before activity tapers into October. This combination of feed, cover, and adjacent public land makes Walsh Ranch a textbook example of high-quality mule deer habitat in northwest Colorado.

Harvest Reports

After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.

Duration

5 day hunt. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire timeframe, and your entire group.

Payment Process

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.

Trespassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
