Oregon Trail Ranch West - Turkey

West Ranch offers just over 650 acres and provides hunters access to roughly 3.5 miles of prime North Platte River habitat just outside of Torrington, WY. This stretch of river bottom is remote, scenic, and well-suited for a multi-day turkey hunt. All houses and outbuildings on the ranch sit away from the river corridor, but hunters should still remain aware of their surroundings and never discharge a firearm near any structure. Driving is restricted to existing roads and two-tracks only - creating your own path will result in fines. Lodging can be added to your hunt for $125 per person per night, with accommodations in a 4-bedroom, 3-bath apartment that includes a kitchen. If on-site lodging is unavailable, Torrington is only a 10-minute drive away with additional options. Hunters must have the Infinite Outdoors app open and in use during their hunt, as one access road crosses neighboring land that is not open to hunting.

The West property is composed entirely of river habitat, providing continuous stretches of cover and forage for a thriving population of Merriam turkeys. Roost trees line the river corridor, and the surrounding bottomland supports abundant insect life and water access that keep birds close. Landowners consistently report large numbers of resident turkeys on this side of the ranch, with flocks returning year after year. The western group of birds is considered separate from the eastern flock, creating dependable hunting opportunities without overlap. With plenty of roost sites, strutting zones, and natural food sources, the West property offers a classic river-bottom turkey hunt with high odds of encountering multiple birds each day.

After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 100% of the outdoorsman fee will process 7 full days prior to the adventure start date.

Cancellations must be made outside of the 7-day payment policy window. Any cancellations made within the 7 day window may be subject to full or partial changes. The IO team will work with you to reschedule, if applicable.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
