461Resort Valley Ranch offers a quiet, private spring turkey hunting experience on 440 acres of well-managed ground near Foxton, Colorado. While the ranch itself spans a much larger footprint, all spring turkey hunts are limited to this specific portion of the property to avoid overlap with seasonal camping and other springtime activities taking place elsewhere on the ranch. This 440-acre section will be reserved exclusively for turkey hunting during the season, ensuring minimal disturbance and a more controlled experience for hunters. RVs are welcome, and ATVs may be used on established two-tracks, but off-road travel is not permitted except for game retrieval, and only on a single in-and-out route. A well-maintained road network runs through the property, though a few sections are shared as easements, meaning the occasional neighbor might pass through. It’s essential that hunters stay within the designated 440 acres to avoid interfering with other ongoing ranch operations—and to ensure those activities don’t interfere with the hunt. With low pressure, solid bird numbers, and a strong tradition of land stewardship dating back to the 1940s, this slice of the ranch is a great place to notch a spring gobbler.
Resort Valley Ranch offers a classic slice of Merriam’s turkey habitat—rolling foothills, broken timber, grassy meadows, and brushy draws that create a patchwork of cover and open space ideal for spring birds. Merriam’s turkeys are well adapted to this kind of terrain, often roosting in tall pines along ridgelines before gliding down at first light to feed in the open clearings below. The varied elevation and terrain features across the property give these birds plenty of room to move, strut, and feed throughout the morning hours, while thick cover provides security and midday loafing areas. This region of Colorado supports strong Merriam’s numbers, particularly in areas like GMU 461 where private land helps limit hunting pressure and allows flocks to hold steady from year to year. Birds in this area respond well to calling and are known to be vocal, especially early in the season. With limited disturbance on this portion of the ranch during spring and the right mix of food, cover, and roosting habitat, it’s a great setup for hunters looking to intercept toms as they move through their daily patterns.
1-Day. If multi-day hunts are desired, they will have to be booked individually.

Awesome property, definitely turkeys in the area though I wasn’t successful the day I hunted. Heard a few birds, but couldn’t get them interested.
