This property is also located in prime pacific flyway country with millions of birds coming to stop in this country side every year. Salt flats, ponds, and marshes make up tons of this country and this property is no exception to excellent waterfowl habitat. Utah is often overlooked for waterfowl and is known as a big secret in the west, especially for properties like these. These marshes and ponds see relatively mild winters and can be open well into the season. The unique habitat in the area provides very productive aquatic vegetation and numerous invertebrates which serve as essential protein when migrating. Bear River Migratory Refuge sees thousands of birds and is no stranger to leaving to come on these private marshes. Expect to see more birds when cold weather pushes more migrators to the south. Mornings and evenings with the occasional cold day generally serve as the most productive times to sit for waterfowl.
