3 DaysThis premier hunting property offers a rare opportunity to pursue trophy-class whitetail deer, large black bear, and outstanding Eastern turkey. Guests enjoy the comfort of a spacious 4,000-square-foot base lodge as well as a private off-grid summit cabin complete with a sunset deck. Access is made simple with a private airstrip and pickup service to the lodge or cabin.
Year-round food plots, water sources, and habitat projects keep wildlife concentrated on the property, while low-pressure access ensures game remains undisturbed. A mapped trail system along with strategically placed stands and blinds makes this property DIY-friendly, giving hunters the tools they need to succeed.
This southeastern Oklahoma property lies just outside Talihina in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, a region known for its rugged terrain and rich wildlife diversity. The habitat here is a blend of mixed hardwood forests, dense oak ridges, cedar thickets, and brushy cover interspersed with fertile meadows. Seasonal creeks and scattered ponds provide water sources, while acorn crops, persimmons, berries, and agricultural fields in the surrounding valleys supply abundant forage. These natural resources make the property highly attractive to black bears throughout the year.
The surrounding Ouachita National Forest supports one of the strongest black bear populations in Oklahoma. Bears are highly adaptable and use this mixed landscape for feeding, bedding, and denning. In spring, bears emerge from winter dens and rely on fresh grasses, insects, and soft mast, while summer and fall bring heavy feeding on acorns, fruits, and crops to prepare for winter. Travel corridors along creek bottoms and timbered ridgelines funnel bear movement, and the low hunting pressure in this region allows bears to reach maturity.
