Notes from the landowner

Each dove property is split up into 1,000 acre sections. The properties are primarily rotational farm ground with anything from milo, sunflower, wheat, winter wheat, corn, sorghum, millet, and CRP (unless otherwise noted). If the property contains water (stock tanks or natural ponds) it will be noted on the property page. It is possible for the ponds to dry up before the season starts, but typically will dry up mid to end September. The dove hunting is exceptional throughout this area of eastern Colorado every year.

Game and habitat information

​​This section of Eastern Colorado is primarily used for agriculture creating an ample food source for dove and other species alike. In this area, you will likely run into Mourning as well as Eurasian doves (these species have some overlapping seasons dates but make sure to check regulations before hunting). Dove are found in this area almost anywhere, whether feeding on the ground or moving from trees and water and food sources creating plenty of opportunities to fill your bag limit within these properties.

Payment Process

Reservation fees are processed at the time of booking and are non-refundable. All outdoorsman fees will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

Trespassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Hunts canceled 48 hours or more prior to the adventure will not be changed. Hunts canceled within 48 hours will be charged 50%, and hunts canceled within 24 hours of the adventure will be charged the full outdoorsman fee.
Yes, they must be a current IO member. Monthly memberships are available at a lower cost. An outdoorsman fee will not be charged, but any “non-hunter” found hunting will be fined.

This is only in conjunction with particular situations including, but not limited to, modifications to reservation (usually by a reduction in reserved days) or full cancellation of any Infinite Outdoors adventure, either hunting or fishing. No refunds will be permitted, in ANY case, if the individual(s) broke any of Infinite Outdoors Rules or Policies as set out by the Infinite Outdoors team, and each individual Landowner.

Property largely consisted of unplanted fields overgrown with weeds. No trees, no water, and little food source on property for doves. Saw few doves in area and only 1 or 2 flying across property.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Some of our dove properties are more open fields with less cover, and bird numbers can definitely vary day to day. Dove hunting is very condition dependent. Things like food, weather, and migration patterns all play a big role, and sometimes the birds just don’t concentrate as hoped. Part of the DIY experience is dealing with that unpredictability, but we understand slow hunts can be frustrating. We’re continuing to work with landowners to add properties with stronger habitat variety.
