Welcome to our 7-acre pond near Gilcrest, Colorado. This is a DIY fishing experience with easy access - you can drive right up to the pond and get started. The pond sits in a wide-open setting with beautiful views and complete solitude away from roads and traffic. This water has seen virtually no fishing pressure, but we know fish are in there - bring your gear and let us know what you find! The pond reaches about 6 feet at its deepest point. Non-motorized watercraft are welcome, so feel free to bring a kayak, canoe, or paddleboat. No motorized boats, and please note that swimming is not permitted - fishing only.
The open setting also makes this a great spot to bring the family or kids. There's plenty of space around the pond to set up a picnic, and the wide-open banks are ideal for teaching young anglers how to cast without worrying about trees or brush behind them. A couple of things to keep in mind: there are no bathrooms on site, but Gilcrest and Platteville are just minutes away. Please close any gates behind you, pick up after yourself, and treat the property with care. We hope you enjoy it and come back often!

Please practice catch and release here so the fishery stays in good, sustainable health. The landowners have added gravel along the shoreline to create dedicated spawning habitat, supporting a self-sustaining fish population year after year.
