Notes from the landowner

Tucked into California's Shasta Valley in Siskiyou County, this 324-acre parcel sits in classic Klamath Basin foothill country - rolling, valley-edge ground carved with small draws, at just under 3,000 feet elevation. This property opens up for spring turkey during California's general season, which runs from late March into April with an archery-only extension into mid-May. Private turkey ground is hard to come by in this part of California, and this listing offers a real shot at working birds without public-land pressure. As with every hunt on this ground, there's no infrastructure built yet, so come ready to run-and-gun on foot .

Game and habitat information

The property's low-elevation, foothill/valley-edge terrain, rolling ground with small draws rather than big alpine relief, sits in the kind of transition country turkey use for both cover and forage in the Klamath Basin. Site photos confirm a mix of open juniper/pinyon woodland with a grass-and-sagebrush understory, plus a rocky rimrock outcrop with scattered juniper that offers genuine bedding and escape cover.
