PronghornSouth Fork Bear is a DIY antelope property, located just west of I-25 and north of Cheyenne, WY. It nestles right against the interstate and in area 38 for Wyoming pronghorn. This property consists of just under 6,200 acres of private land and provides access to an additional 1,000 acres of WY state land. From north to south, you will see a slight elevation increase. Little Bear Creek runs through this property and provides several watering holes that could be hunted via ground blind during archery season. There is plenty of room for antelope to roam through the area, and large populations are found here regularly. Any and all driving on this property must be done on existing roads and two-tracks, otherwise all hunting must be done from foot. This is a 3-day hunt, so the day that you book will automatically book you for the following two as well. IO payment process is as follows: A reservation fee that is non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will be processed after resident draw results are posted, unless a hunt is booked after the results post, in which case 50% will process immediately. The remaining half of the outdoorsman fee will process 1 month prior to your arrival on the property to hunt.
Although Wyoming experienced a large winter kill in the Western, North, South and South central areas this winter, this region did not experience the same snow levels as the rest of the state and therefore has seen better numbers this spring. However, based of recommendations from our state and staff biologist we have reduced the number of hunts in this area for the 2023 season to help mitigate losses in the rest of the state. With that in mind, we still predict great harvest results and aim to continue to manage this area for a high population of antelope. This area in the eastern half of Wyoming is known for its high density of antelope, outnumbering the population of humans in most regions. Large grasslands, mixed with rolling hills and shallow creek bottoms provide ideal habitat for antelope. Although this is not know for its trophy potential, high densities of bucks in the 15" range are seen in the area each season. With plenty of acreage to explore, this is a great area for both seasoned and first time antelope hunters to be successful on their hunts.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.
For any big game hunting in Wyoming, our landowners requires all hunters to turn in their landowner coupon [attached to your tag(s)]. Please visit the list of rules sent to you after booking, for directions on turning in your coupon.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
