Notes from the landowner

Old Glory is a private whitetail hunting property in Spraggs, Pennsylvania, sitting right along the West Virginia state line in the heart of southwest Appalachian hill country. This listing is for rifle hunters looking to hunt the post-rut period - a week on the ground during a time of year when mature bucks are recovering, regrouping, and shifting back into feeding patterns that make them huntable again.

Hunter numbers on this property are kept intentionally low. Three hunters in the field at any one time is the ceiling - no exceptions. That discipline keeps pressure off the deer and the experience quality high for everyone here. Groups of up to 6 are welcome as long as the party knows each other. Six dedicated tree stands are spread across the property with 2 assigned to each hunter, and 2 shared ground blinds are available as well. Bring your own setup if you prefer or use ours.

We run trail cameras across the property year-round and keep the footage current. Booked hunters get access to regular updates through our Facebook page, so you can study deer movement and start building your game plan well ahead of your arrival. Reach out after booking and we'll walk the property with you to get your scouting on the right track.

This hunt runs 7 days and is offered during two specific windows in November and December. Check the booking calendar on the Infinite Outdoors site for currently available dates and time slots. If a longer hunt or a different season fits your schedule better, browse our other listings on the IO site for additional options.

We're looking forward to hosting you!

Game and habitat information

Old Glory covers 300-plus acres of southwest Pennsylvania hill country, featuring mature hardwood ridges, wooded hollows, creek drainages, and food plots distributed across the property. By late season, the rut has ended and deer movement shifts back toward feeding patterns. Bucks are calorie-depleted and does are focused on winter preparation - both are hitting food sources with regularity, often during daylight hours.

The food plots on this property serve as natural congregation points during this period. Combined with the defined bedding cover and travel corridors that connect the timber to the open feeding areas, the layout of the property lends itself well to late season stand hunting.

Trail cameras across the property have documented consistent mature buck presence over multiple seasons. Post-rut movement tends to be more patternable than any other time of year, which is what makes this window productive for rifle hunters with limited time on the ground.

Pennsylvania carries an estimated statewide whitetail population of 1.5 million deer. WMU 2A, where Old Glory is located, is one of the few units in the state where the Pennsylvania Game Commission reports the deer population is actively increasing - a relevant data point for anyone evaluating hunting opportunity in this region.
