Notes from the landowner

Each dove property is split up into 1,000 acre sections. The properties are primarily rotational farm ground with anything from milo, sunflower, wheat, winter wheat, corn, sorghum, millet, and CRP (unless otherwise noted). If the property contains water (stock tanks or natural ponds) it will be noted on the property page. It is possible for the ponds to dry up before the season starts, but typically will dry up mid to end September. The dove hunting is exceptional throughout this area of eastern Colorado every year.

Game and habitat information

​​This section of Eastern Colorado is primarily used for agriculture creating an ample food source for dove and other species alike. In this area, you will likely run into Mourning as well as Eurasian doves (these species have some overlapping seasons dates but make sure to check regulations before hunting). Dove are found in this area almost anywhere, whether feeding on the ground or moving from trees and water and food sources creating plenty of opportunities to fill your bag limit within these properties.

Drivers should stay under 15 MPH on private roads. Violators will be subject to fines starting at $100

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged from contacting Infinite Outdoors. Some landowners have not opened their land for reservations yet. The other reason properties might be unavailable is because we work directly with our landowners and hunts are booked by quota set by our biologist for the current year. That being said, we are willing, and able in most cases, to pre-book you for next season. OR book you in place of someone else canceling their reservation.

Trespassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Hunts canceled 48 hours or more prior to the adventure will not be changed. Hunts canceled within 48 hours will be charged 50%, and hunts canceled within 24 hours of the adventure will be charged the full outdoorsman fee.
Yes, they must be a current IO member. Monthly memberships are available at a lower cost. An outdoorsman fee will not be charged, but any “non-hunter” found hunting will be fined.

Once we worked out where we were able to hunt there were birds flying, it’s a large property but only a very small piece of ground right next to the house holds birds. The majority of birds are around the farmyard and you get occasional high speed pass shooting but usually at long distances. The owner did come out once and ask that we not shoot towards the house which we were being very cautious of not doing the entire trip. It’s such close proximity that the gunshots must have sounded very close

Great setup for Dove... first day was pretty good as I think the birds were local and after first day holed up in the farmers property. Unfortunately, there were very few migrating birds.
