BYOB- Bring Your Own BlindFaithful Waters is located on the South Platte River, just outside of Kersey, Colorado. All hunting on this property must end at noon - allowing birds to return to roost without being pressured, and keeping the hunt quality. This property offers waterfowl hunting in a prime location, just a short drive from the front range. There is no blind provided on this property - hunters may bring their own ground blinds or a-frames, or there is ample cover along the river to set up a good hide. This property is booked opposite of Faithful Waters East, in an effort to not hunt the same spot repeatedly and educate birds in the area. Note to all users - you will have to wade across a shallow side channel of the river to get to the hunting boundary; roughly a foot or less deep, muck boots could do the trick as well. Hunters who book this property may feel free to set up however they choose within the provided boundaries, and on the south bank of the river. Hunters, make sure to bring all licenses and tags required. All hunters must also abide by Colorado state rules and laws. Limits and regulations still apply. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.
As a request of the landowner, hunting here is limited to morning hunts only. Hunting must end at 12pm each day. This allows for birds to return to roost on the river without being pressured. Thanks for understanding.
This property is located on the very secluded section of the South Platte River that has historically not been hunted hard for waterfowl. The South Platte in this region breaks up into many sand bars, bends, and pocket water. All of which creates habitat ideal for ducks and geese, and ample opportunity for waterfowl on this property. An alfalfa field located just to the south of the river will also serve as a drawing factor to birds in the area, especially geese, who will loaf and roost on the river. This area sees minimal hunting pressure and a surplus of waterfowl, especially after a majority of big open water in the area begins to freeze, and birds move to the open water along the river. The location and habitat this property provides makes this an excellent location for any waterfowl hunter.
