258God's Country offers a true DIY hunting experience for the Eastern Turkey! Because it is strictly DIY, hunters will need to be prepared to bring their own ground blinds if they choose to hunt from one. The property features a well-maintained internal trail system that allows access by 4WD vehicle or ATV. Hunters should be mindful that sound carries easily through these woods, and excessive driving may impact movement patterns. Thoughtful entry and exit routes will help maintain the best hunting conditions. A creek runs east to west through the tract, naturally dividing it into north and south sections. Several built crossings allow hunters to move between both sides without difficulty. After booking, a detailed map that outlines stand locations and crossing points can be found in the Infinite Outdoors app. The property borders approximately 1,800 acres of Sumter National Forest. While the national forest is publicly accessible and may see seasonal pressure, that dynamic often benefits the private ground during active hunting periods. Primitive camping is allowed in specific areas of the property, suitable for setting up camp, for an additional nightly fee that can be added at checkout.
This property has the core habitat components Eastern turkeys need year-round: roost trees, nesting cover, brood habitat, travel corridors, and water. The mature hardwoods along the creek provide reliable roost sites and mast production in fall. The creek bottom also offers soft ground and insect-rich areas that hens prefer during brood-rearing season. The rolling ridge system gives gobblers elevated strut zones where they can be seen and heard, especially along benches and gradual ridge tops. The mix of open understory hardwoods and thinned pine stands creates good visibility for turkeys while still offering escape cover. Natural logging roads and internal trails double as travel routes, especially during spring when birds move between roost sites and feeding areas. The terrain naturally funnels movement along ridge spines and creek crossings, creating predictable setup locations throughout the season.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Outdoorsman fees will process 7 days prior to the adventure.
For turkey adventures, cancellations must be made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled hunt. Cancellations made within 7 days of the hunt will be subject to full charges.
