At Hidden Acres, turkeys have plenty of space to move between private and public land, giving hunters lots of opportunities. In this region of Wyoming, hunters will be after the elusive Merriam Turkey. Birds will roost in the trees along the ridges and wooded areas, flying down at sunrise to feed in the open fields. They spend the day moving between the fields and forest, using hills and ravines for cover, before heading back to the trees to roost in the evening. The northern part of the property has large farm fields surrounded by trees and a steep, rocky ridge where turkeys often roost. A small ravine on the northeast side acts as a natural travel route for birds. In the southern section, rolling hills and rocky outcrops provide dusting areas and travel paths, while a pond in the south fields gives turkeys a reliable water source. With neighboring properties allowing hunting and easy access to public land, turkeys are always on the move. Hunters can explore both private and public ground, increasing their chances of a successful hunt. This property offers a great mix of open fields, wooded cover, and natural food and water sources, making it an ideal place for turkey hunting, especially at dawn and dusk.
