Pleasant Ridge offers archery turkey hunting on 18 private acres just outside Rogers in Benton County, Arkansas, in AGFC Turkey Zone 1A. Eastern wild turkeys use this Ozark foothill timber in the spring, and you will have the whole property to yourself for a focused bow or crossbow hunt.
The ground is mixed hardwood and pine on gently rolling terrain. A small clearing at the northwest corner and a power line right-of-way across the back of the property break up the timber, creating edges and open lanes where birds travel and feed.
Getting set up is simple. Park at one of two designated spots, then slip in along the power line right-of-way from the southeast corner or from the north boundary, whichever keeps you quiet and out of sight. A short walk puts you in position well before fly down.
Each booking is a 2 day archery hunt for one hunter, priced per hunter. Arkansas turkey licenses are sold over the counter, so there is no draw. Bring a ground blind and decoys and make the most of the morning. Lodging, restaurants, and supplies are minutes away in Rogers.
Eastern wild turkeys are a primary species at Pleasant Ridge. Mixed hardwood and pine timber gives birds roosting cover, and the clearing and power line right-of-way add open ground and edge for strutting, feeding, and travel.
Spring is when this ground comes alive, with gobbling activity in the mornings as birds pair up for the breeding season. With one hunter on 18 acres, pressure stays light and you control the setup.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties, and continue to put conservation at the forefront, we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
Arkansas spring turkey season in Zone 1A is a short nine day season that opens in mid-April, so plan your dates early. A youth only hunt is held the weekend before the regular opener. This property is archery only, so bows and crossbows are the only legal methods here.
Current dates are posted at agfc.com/hunting/turkey.
