0The Conejos River is one of our favorites!! It’s a bit of a drive from Denver but the scenery and fly fishing are world-class. This 3rd generation family homestead and cattle ranch is breathtaking. It’s extremely green with lots of trees and foliage. The sense of adventure, exploration, and connection with nature you feel while fly fishing this property is nourishing for the soul. Anglers can expect to catch brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout in the 12-20″ range. River access can be tough. Be prepared to bushwhack through some willows to find the right honey hole. If you want to net one of those beautiful Conejos cutthroats, be willing to put in the work for it! Although we typically get your booking approved within a few hours, please allow up to 1 business day for booking confirmations. ***No signs are placed on this property at this time, you will need to leverage/download the GPS coordinates sent to you on the map. We love the TroutRoutes App.

this is a tough spot to fish. parking was weird and you block 1/2 the driveway, horses were at the gate and I wasn't sure how to get through them, 3/4's of a mile walking to get to the water, an impenetrable wall of willows and thorn bushes on the way in and out of the river. water was super low and fishing was not good. etc, etc. will not be returning.

Beautiful stretch of water, but a little hard to find. Locating the turn-off and parking all good, but it is a bushwhack through the property to get to the river.

As I got to Antonito, I was able to see the river from the bridge and it was barely a trickle. I opted not to fish there since it would be harmful to any fish due to stress from low flows and heat. If I return to the area next year it would be a month earlier. I was able to fish above Mogote where flows were at least 300cfs rather than the 30cfs found at the RW property likely due to agricultural draws.
