Infinite Outdoors, in collaboration with private landowners and outdoor industry sponsors, is proud to expand land and water access through our Access Granted initiative. This program is designed to provide free access while partnering with landowners to unlock hard-to-reach areas. As part of this initiative, Infinite Outdoors, its partners, and the landowners are excited to offer managed access to the Golden Rule Ranch - just south of Thermopolis, WY, nestled in the Wind River Canyon. Activity on this property will be strictly limited to sport climbing - no hunting is permitted. There is riverside access on the west side of the highway for fishing the Wind River with a Tribal Permit. Cliffside access to this property is by reservation through the IO platform only. By booking an adventure on this property, you are booking a parking space - there are 4 available parking spots on the east side of the highway that may be used by climbers. Currently, there is a total guest limit of 10 people - if you plan to travel as a group, carpooling is recommended so you have no trouble parking in a spot. Please have each member of your group invited and added to the adventure so we know how many people to expect on the property. Each person needs to read the rules and digitally sign a waiver. It is likely that the landowners and/or personal guests of the landowner will be using the property at the same time. There are plenty of routes to climb!

There is some great habitat; however, hunting of any kind is NOT permitted on the Golden Rule Ranch. Instead, there are multiple sport climbing routes, via ferratas, ziplines, and a trail system are all found on site, without the crowds - this is the climber's dream! This is private property, mostly surrounded by Wind River Reservation. No unauthorized access is permitted on the east side of the highway. The riverside on the west side of the highway has walk-in only access by the public, without prior permission needed, currently. With that said, the landowners reserve the right to trespass any individual at any time. Please read the posted signs before entering the riverside property. Tribal fishing permits are required to fish in the canyon.

Beginning in May, access to this private property is only permitted for the days you have reserved. A minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 3 days may be reserved. You are required to use the Infinite Outdoors app to 'check in' to the property upon arrival. No-shows will be given one warning before not being welcomed back - please cancel the adventure if you intend to not make it.

Anyone who makes or attends a reservation on this property must be an active Access Member on the Infinite Outdoors platform. They must also be invited, and accept the invitation, in order to legally access through the private land. The Access Membership is free.

While this property is monitored, it is encouraged to reach out to the landowner to report any suspicious activity, or any potential trespassing. The goal of the Access Granted initiative is to provide managed access to world-class sport climbs with amazing views, that is always free, never overcrowded, and well maintained.

There are 4 parking spots available for use per day. When you book a trip to the property, you are booking one of those spots. If you intend to have guests join you, please plan on driving together, or notifying Infinite Outdoors how many vehicles you plan to bring. This property will act as a community adventure, meaning it is open to multiple groups per day. Each guest needs to sign the waiver.
