Central - Northeast ZoneLocated on the South Platte River, south of Greeley, this property offers pristine waterfowl hunting. These blinds are formed with t-posts and hog paneling and are brushed using various types of foliage and vegetation. Each blind can comfortably fit 6 people. Please bring your own chairs. The property to the west of Gander River has not been hunted in the past, and the stretch of river to the east is owned by the town of Evans… meaning Gander River is located where there is minimal hunting activity. Hunters, make sure to bring all licenses and tags required. Also, all hunters must abide by Colorado state rules and laws. Limits and regulations still apply. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.
This Property is located on a very secluded section of the South Platte River. This property has been very productive over the years. The South Platte in this region breaks up into many sand bars, bends, and pocket water, all of which provides excellent forage opportunities and habitat for waterfowl on this property. Pivot and agricultural fields located a couple hundred yards to the south will encourage birds to utilize the ag and the river to its fullest extent. This area sees minimal hunting pressure, allowing for a surplus of ducks and some late-season geese. Bluebird days can produce some great activity at first light but may lead to fewer birds overall, so plan your hunt with the weather in mind. Without a doubt, the location and the habitat make Gander River an excellent location for any waterfowl hunter.
1-Day Hunts
Provided blinds are built at the beginning of the season. Hunters are encouraged to spend a few minutes brushing in the blinds to keep them in quality condition, and keep them well hidden from birds.
Reservation fees are processed at the time of booking and are non-refundable. All outdoorsman fees will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
