For hunters looking for a lower-cost, lower-pressure day afield, this listing covers both rabbit and tree squirrel on the same 324-acre Shasta Valley property. Rabbit season runs July through late January under CDFW's general small-game regulations, while tree squirrel opens archery-only in August and September before firearms are permitted for the general season, which continues through late January. This is a good entry point for newer hunters or as an add-on to a deer or turkey trip later in the season.

The same low-elevation foothill terrain that supports deer and turkey on this ground also supports rabbit and squirrel populations typical of Klamath Basin valley-edge habitat. Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 100% of the outdoorsman fee will process 14 full days prior to the adventure start date.

Cancellations must be made outside of the 14-day payment policy window. Any cancellations made within the 14 day window may be subject to full or partial changes. The IO team will work with you to reschedule, if applicable.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
