Turkey on this section move with the terrain, using the dune country as travel ground between roosting areas and open feeding stretches. It's a quieter turkey hunt than the creek bottoms to the south, more about patience and reading movement across open ground than working birds out of heavy cover. If you'd rather hunt turkey the same way you'd glass for deer or antelope out here, wide open and on your own terms, this section fits that style well.

Turkey here use the open dune structure as travel corridors, moving between roosting cover and feeding ground across the section's rolling terrain. Without the dense canopy found along the creek bottoms, birds tend to stay more mobile and visible, giving hunters a different look at working turkey than the tighter, cover-based hunting found elsewhere on the ranch. Patience and good glass go a long way here, spotting birds early and reading how they move across open ground is the key to connecting.

• A hunter may harvest no more than one turkey per calendar day during the spring season.

• All turkey harvests must be reported via Telecheck.

All reservation fees are non-refundable and collected up front. The outdoorsman fee will be collected in 48 hrs before your trip.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
