7254 ft.East Parks is a DIY Elk hunting property north of Rock River, WY in Elk unit 7. This property is made up of just over 10,000 thousand of acres of private land and offers access to additional landlocked BLM land. It is comprised of multiple different terrains, and ranges in elevation from 6,800 to 7,200 feet. Practice long-range shooting, as shots can be long in the open terrain with windy conditions. This is best hunted late season and is dependent on migrating elk herds. This hunt is an extended 7 days to increase chances of encountering late season herds.
Hunters must abide by all State of WY hunting regulations while on this property.
All hunters in a party are required to be active members of Infinite Outdoors and must be listed on the hunting party's adventure.
The country north of Rock River offers classic elk late season habitat, blending open sagebrush hills with rugged plateaus, steep draws, and wooded arroyos that provide essential bedding and escape cover. As snow pushes herds down from the higher Laramie Range, this area becomes a key wintering ground, holding elk through the late season. The rolling terrain creates natural vantage points for glassing, while the broken ridgelines and timbered pockets allow elk to move with security and remain difficult to pattern. Multiple water sources across the property serve as reliable travel corridors and staging areas, concentrating elk activity in otherwise open country. Success here often requires flexibility spot-and-stalk methods can work well on open hillsides, while patience and careful positioning are rewarded when elk slip into the heavier cover of the arroyos. Some of the rougher country is only accessible by foot, giving committed hunters an edge in reaching undisturbed herds. With five days to hunt, visitors have time to observe movement patterns, locate bedding areas, and adjust strategies, making this a true western elk hunt that rewards persistence and adaptability.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
If you are successful in harvesting an animal on this property, as a request of the landowners you must send in the Landowner Coupon that is attached to your big game license. Any hunter who successfully fills their tag but fails to return the landowner coupon will receive a $25 fine. This will be issued to the landowner in lieu of the money they would have received from the state through the landowner coupon program. The Harvest Report (noted above) is how you will notify Infinite Outdoors of your hunt results. Unsuccessful hunters are not required to return a coupon. The additional income driven through landowner coupons is a great way to continue incentivizing landowners to allow access to their land - we ask for your help in this endeavor, to keep quality access available at the touch of a button. Upon successful harvest, please send your landowner coupon to: PO Drawer 2360, Casper, WY 82602.
