Notes from the landowner

Saba Springs Ranch sits in the heart of Texas hill country along the San Saba River, where live oak groves give way to river-bottom hardwoods and rolling native brush. This property has a point restriction, bucks need to be 7pt and under or a fine will be imposed. This reservation includes an opportunity for a buck and a doe, and the use of the South part of the ranch. The ranch runs about 800 acres split into two 400-acre halves, each stocked with its own set of box, tree, tower, and ground blinds so hunters have a comfortable, low-disturbance way to sit and watch good ground. The ranch maintains 10 box blinds, 4 tree blinds, 2 tower blinds, and 4 ground blinds. The blinds are located on food plots , maximizing the opportunity to harvest a deer. All deer tags are provided, as the ranch is enrolled in the Texas Parks & Wildlife Managed Lands Deer Program. Hunters will still need a valid Texas hunting license.
*Campfires are prohibited on this property.

Game and habitat information

The property's live oak mottes and river-bottom hardwoods provide strong bedding and forage cover, while the San Saba River corridor supplies reliable water year-round — a real advantage in hill country, where water is often the limiting factor. Native brush enhancement and rotational rest between hunts (a minimum two-day gap per parcel) help keep pressure low and sightings consistent across the season. Successful hunters on this property sit and don't chase. Don't try to spot and stalk and you'll have far better success- play the wind and let the animals work to your hide.
