This property is 15 minutes south of Douglas, Wyoming and offers roughly 2,000 acres to explore and plink around on while hopping from town to town. There are several locations on the ranch that are infested with prairie dogs which will be highlighted in the Infinite Outdoors app for you to head straight to. Please note that driving on the ranch should be very limited, and you can expect to have to do some walking from one town to another. Also please take into consideration that there are certain sections of this ranch that are off limits during your prairie dog hunt - by booking this property you are agreeing to hunt only the areas that have a prairie dog population. Be sure to check the IO app for more detail on where you should focus your time!
The La Bonte Creek property features classic open prairie and sage flat terrain that provides ideal conditions for prairie dogs. Expansive grasslands with gentle rolling topography and sparse vegetation create the visibility and soil conditions these animals prefer for establishing burrows and colonies. Despite multiple past attempts to control the population through poisoning, prairie dogs have continued to persist on the property and remain well established. Today, several distinct prairie dog towns are scattered throughout the property, giving shooters multiple areas to set up and explore. The wide-open landscape offers excellent visibility and natural backstops, creating ideal conditions for long-range and open-country shooting. With plenty of room to move between towns and set up different shooting angles, La Bonte Creek provides outdoorsmen with consistent opportunities for prairie dog hunting across a large stretch of prairie habitat.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Outdoorsman fees will automatically process 48 hours prior to the adventure - it is the responsibility of the party organizer to ensure each hunter is added to the guest list prior to 48 hours so charges may process accordingly.
For waterfowl, fishing, and other small game adventures, cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled adventure will not be charged. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the adventure will be charged the full outdoorsman fee.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
