Notes from the landowner

Enjoy over 2 miles of the Michigan River,  Moose Rive Ranch, a hidden gem tucked away about 10 miles to the east of the small town of Walden, Colorado in North Park Colorado. This property is surrounded by expansive, breathtaking mountain views. Rainbow and brown trout swim through the winding waters and take cover under the willows from the Golden and Bald Eagles. Trout range from 6-20+” inches so leave the small fly rod at home and be ready for anything. There are plenty of accessible spots for younger anglers and people with mobility issues but there are also some heavily willowed areas on the riverbank. We love hitting these heavily willowed spots as that’s where bigger trout linger. Finally, the property has just under a mile of lakefrontage to the fabled Meadow Creek Reservoir.

Infinite Outdoors is a technology platform that provides landowners with the ability to list their properties for recreational use and manage them in a conservation minded way. Infinite Outdoors is primarily dedicated to DIY Hunting and Angling, it is the angler's responsibility to be aware of weather, water flow, and river conditions. No refunds will be issued due to unfavorable conditions. It is the angler's responsibility to verify current conditions prior to arrival. Landowner calendars may show availability even when conditions are not favorable for fishing. In such cases, it is the angler's responsibility to check all local rules, regulations, and closures before fishing. Please review the Fishing Information tab for details that may assist in planning your trip. During warmer periods of the year, anglers are advised that early morning fishing generally provides the most favorable conditions.

Nearly impossible to find any access on the river due to the brush on both sides of the tiny river for miles. Any fish caught were less than 6". Very disappointing.

Great property and the river looked fishable for clarity even though it was really pumping a lot of water at peak runoff. The trouble was getting anywhere near the river with all of the willows, and more specifically how flooded out it was in the willows surrounding the river. Kinda need to be able to make your way up the river bed to fish through the willows and at this flow that's not possible. Maybe by mid July....

It was a nice day for fishing. Unfortunately, no fish. This place is all willows so be prepared for that. We only fished for 3 hours because of all of the willows and zero fish. I would not book this place again.
