Hearn Place offers 227 acres of private whitetail buck deer hunting outside McRae-Helena, Georgia, in Telfair County and the state’s Green either-sex zone. The ground is managed with one goal in mind: mature bucks, 3.5 years and older, taken with a bow, a muzzleloader, or a rifle.

Telfair County has a real pedigree for big deer, including Georgia’s state record non-typical buck. On Hearn Place, planted pines and hardwood timber give bucks the bedding security they look for, while 8 acres of food plots and two feeders pull them into the open on a reliable pattern. Turnpike Creek runs just south and southeast of the property, so water is never far, and deer have every reason to stay put.

Two box blinds overlook the plots, so you can settle in early, stay hidden, and wait out the right buck in comfort. Your party has the property to itself, with room for up to 2 hunters. Access is on foot once parked, and the Infinite Outdoors app shows you the property boundaries and every access point.

Georgia deer licenses are sold over the counter, so there is no draw. Each hunter needs a Georgia hunting license, a big game license, and a deer harvest record, and every deer must be reported through Georgia Game Check. Bucks must be at least 3.5 years old, and harvesting a younger buck will result in a fine, so take your time and judge carefully. Lodging and food are close by in McRae-Helena.

South central Georgia’s Upper Coastal Plain grows heavy-bodied, mature whitetails, and Telfair County has the record book to prove it. In 1998, Billy Joe Padgett took a 38-point non-typical here that still stands as Georgia’s state record. Hearn Place’s mix of planted pines and hardwood timber gives older bucks the security and thermal cover they lean on through the season. The food plots and feeders give them a reason to step out in daylight. Turnpike Creek holds water along the south and southeast edges all year, keeping deer anchored to this ground. Because the property is managed strictly for 3.5-year-old and older bucks, younger deer are given time to mature. The bucks you see from the blind have had the chance to reach their potential.

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process at the time of booking since licenses in Georgia are over the counter. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the adventure.

For big game adventures, cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be handled immediately with no penalty. If a cancellation is requested after a deposit has been placed, Infinite Outdoors will make every effort to reschedule the hunt for a different season or a future year. Refunds are not guaranteed once a deposit has been placed.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
