Welcome to our property in GMU 129, situated along the Arkansas River just east of Manzanola, Colorado. This is a DIY whitetail hunt on just under 200 acres of private land, offering a 5-day hunting experience in one of southeastern Colorado's productive river bottom units. The terrain and cover here lend themselves best to rifle and muzzleloader hunters - the layout doesn't offer a ton of natural tree stand setups, so archery hunters should keep that in mind before booking. The Arkansas River corridor creates classic whitetail habitat, with cottonwood bottoms, brushy draws, and agricultural edges that deer use heavily for bedding and feeding. As a DIY hunt, you'll have the freedom to work the property on your own terms and at your own pace. We ask that all hunters respect the land and adhere to all Colorado Parks & Wildlife regulations for GMU 129.
The Corner Spot resides in classic eastern Colorado whitetail country along the Arkansas River corridor in GMU 129. It is predominantly made up of agricultural land, with some cottonwood-lined river bottom providing cover along the edges. The fields offer a consistent and reliable food source, while the river and the Rocky Ford Canal provide consistent water. This property is home to whitetail only and does not support a significant mule deer population, so hunters can focus their attention and expectations squarely on whitetail - whitetail only tags can be drawn with relative ease. Trophy potential in this region of Colorado is often underestimated, as this area is home to trophy whitetail bucks that continue to thrive due to a large agricultural influence. While densities don't quite match the Midwest, solid 160" class bucks are not uncommon, making this a legitimate destination for hunters chasing a quality western whitetail. The rut in this area can begin as early as late October and run through late December, offering a solid window to catch bucks on their feet during daylight hours.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fees will automatically process 2 weeks after Colorado draw results post, or immediately upon booking if booked after Colorado draw results post. The remaining 50% will automatically process 1 month prior to the hunt.
For big game adventures, cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be handled immediately with no penalty. If a cancellation is requested after a deposit has been placed, Infinite Outdoors will make every effort to reschedule the hunt for a different season or a future year. Refunds are not guaranteed once a deposit has been placed.
