3 out of 5 stars

A beautiful ranch in a classic Colorado valley! Easy access to the river, a pleasant day of fishing. The fishing itself was average. Very sporadic hatches, a few caddis and stoneflies, no fish rising to them. Fished a hopper/dropper throughout the day. A few small to medium rainbows and one larger brown that took the hopper. Most of the run is very shallow riffle water, only a handful of deeper dropoffs. I was there alone, which was nice, but necessary, since in my opinion since there were so few prime lies that if there were any other active fishermen there would have been little productive water for even one more fisher.

4 out of 5 stars

It is a nice property and the caretakers were friendly. The camping area was manageable for my 18' camper. I caught several brown trout and one rainbow all in the 13-16" range. I'd give the property 5 stars but unfortunately 90% of this river stretch is ankle-to-shin deep fast moving riffles. There are only a handful of holding areas and pools. I had thoroughly fished these areas within 3 hours time so there's not really enough to keep one entertained for a whole day.
