Hogs are a year-round fixture at Saba Springs Ranch, and they're some of the most action-packed hunting the property offers: no closed season, no bag limit, and no shortage of pigs working the feeders along the river bottom. This is a one-day hunt. Hogs move through both the North and South parcels, so wherever you're booked, expect activity, especially early and late in the day.
*Campfires are prohibited on this property.
Feral hogs thrive on exactly the mix of live oak mast, river-bottom cover, and ag edge that defines this property, and the reliable water along the San Saba River keeps them using the ranch consistently rather than passing through. Because hogs compete directly with deer and turkey for food and can tear up sensitive ground, active hog removal here supports the broader management plan, every hog taken is one less mouth competing for the same acorns and browse the deer program depends on.
For the 2024/25 season, 6 cull bucks and 20 does may be harvested.
