Notes from the landowner

This property sits in the middle of a major waterfowl flyway, ringed by roosting water on the neighboring prairie and wetland refuge complex — a rare combination for a piece of private ground this size. Hunters enter and park at the marked lot, then set up an A-frame or layout blind wherever the day's birds and wind dictate, before returning to the same parking area at the end of the hunt. Driving into the field is permitted for blind and decoy setup and takedown only. With light pressure and dependable bird traffic, it's also a strong pick for a first waterfowl hunt with a young or new hunter.

Game and habitat information

The property benefits from its position inside the Glacial Ridge prairie-pothole and wetland restoration complex, which functions as a magnet for migrating and resting waterfowl. Expect birds working between refuge roosting water and this property's open ground on a daily pattern, rather than a single fixed flight line, set up should follow wind and morning bird movement rather than one static spot.
