Notes from the landowner

Land stewardship comes first at Badger Basin, the landowner manages this ground with conservation and harvest working hand in hand, and the property's 846 irrigated acres reflect that care. Waterfowl hunters get a rare early crack at geese here, with Zone C1's early season running September 1–8 before the regular split season picks back up and carries through mid-February. Badger Basin's irrigated fields hold geese well as they stage and feed through fall and winter.
This is the one hunt on the property where you're allowed to drive into the fields — decoy setup and take-down is the exception to the established-roads-only rule, so plan your spread accordingly.

Game and habitat information

Geese work the harvested barley and sugar beet fields for feed as the season progresses, staging in numbers as northern water freezes up.

Payment Policy

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 100% of the outdoorsman fee will process 48 hrs prior to the adventure start date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made outside of the 48 hr payment policy window. Any cancellations made within that window may be subject to full or partial changes. The IO team will work with you to reschedule, if applicable.

Property Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

Tresspassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein

Yes. A 240V hookup is available on site for camper or RV use. Or you can do walk in tent camping in the hills as well - pack it in/pack it out. This is included in your hunt fee.

Yes — two feeders on site can be activated specifically for hunters with a disabled hunting permit. Coordinate with IO in advance. Game feeders can only be used for handicapped . It is not legal for anyone else.
