Notes from the landowner

This property is “request to book”. See below for more details. The "availability spots" may not be up-to-date on this property, but if it says it is not available that is accurate.

This ranch is renowned for being one of the premier fly fishing properties in the state of Colorado. Only a short drive from Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Basalt, and Aspen, anglers can access several ponds, 0.75 miles of spring-fed creeks, and nearly 0.5 miles of the Roaring Fork River. Fly anglers, whether seasoned or new to the sport, will have great opportunities to land quality trout, enjoy breathtaking views and make many memories. Fish range from 14″ to 22″ and can be caught on dry and nymph rigs depending on the time of year.

The landowner has invested countless time and resources into building and constructing ideal trout habitats throughout the watersheds. This has allowed various trout species to flourish, reach trophy size, and provide an excellent angling experience. Proper fish handling, angler etiquette, sportsmanship, and catch-and-release fishing also contribute to the success of the fishery.

Due to livestock and other concerns, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted on this property.

Request to book: When you select your dates and hit the “book now” button you are sending in a request to book, please note this is not a confirmed booking. If it is available, we will accept your booking/payment and send a confirmation email. If it is not available, we will inform you via email.

We think it's important to mentor the next generation of anglers. Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 are 50% off for all fishing and small game when you reserve on the Infinite Outdoors app. However, kids 13-17 will need to have an Infinite Outdoors Membership. No, most of our property listings are available to Infinite Outdoors Members without a pass. If you plan on fishing on a regular basis talk to our support team and see if a pass might make sense.
Not all properties have signs, so be sure to check the property boundaries and information in the Infinite Outdoors app.
Access your adventure on the IO app before heading out the door, all the information and maps will be on the app so you don't need service to navigate your adventure. We can't guarantee you'll catch fish every time—fishing always comes with a bit of unpredictability due to factors like weather and fish behavior. However, we do everything we can to boost your chances! We offer information on local fly shops so you can get the best tips and gear recommendations. As for the size of the fish, it really depends on where you're fishing. We aim to connect you with spots where you have a good shot at landing some great catches, but it's all part of the Do-It-Yourself fly fishing adventure!
Download and use the Infinite Outdoors app for directions to the property, boundary lines, access points, and more. These maps can be found in the adventure layer on the app home screen or in your list of adventures under the "Adventures" tab.

May 12, 2025 We tried fishing the Roaring Fork river in the morning but the flows were too high. The creeks were the place to fish, lots of variety, good fishing browns and rainbows.

This is the second time I have been to Spring Creeks Ranch, and it was even more beautiful in summer. The fish were amazing and the people at the ranch were friendly and helpful. We are very lucky to be able to fish here. Nearly 100 degrees the day of my visit so fishing the morning was best as the water temps went over 65 not long after lunch. A must visit property. Highly enjoyable in the creeks and the river.
