4419 ft.Unforgettable experiences only 2 hours east of Denver International Airport. This is a DIY dove hunt just outside of Joes, Colorado on roughly 72 acres of private property. Though this hunt does not come with meals or the use of the lodge or facilities, overnight stays in an on-site lodge can be booked through the Bow & Barrel lodging listing on the IO platform. See the FAQ's for more information on the lodging. This hunt is inherently a DIY hunt, and you are welcome to bring your own hunting dogs. Guides with dogs can be available for this hunt if you prefer - use the add-a-guide option during booking before you submit your request.
Hunters will enjoy a diverse mix of prime dove habitat, ranging from expansive CRP grasslands to planted food and cover plots, with everything in between. The property sits in a heavily farmed region of eastern Colorado, surrounded by a variety of row crops that produce the seeds and grains doves rely on during their southward migration. Eastern Colorado is well known as a major flyway for large numbers of migrating mourning doves, and this property also supports a strong year-round presence of Eurasian collared doves. Faux telephone wires are strategically placed on-site, giving birds a natural place to loaf and providing hunters with consistent flight paths as doves move between feeding areas.
