Welcome to our property! We offer a DIY black bear hunt on a private tract just north of the West Virginia state line in Spraggs, Pennsylvania, and we're looking forward to hosting you.
To keep the experience quality high, we limit the field to a maximum of 3 hunters at any one time, though groups of up to 6 are welcome as long as everyone in the party knows each other. Each hunter is assigned 2 dedicated tree stands, giving you 6 stands spread across the property in total, along with 2 ground blinds available for shared use. Feel free to hunt from our setups or bring your own - whatever fits your approach.
We stay plugged into what's happening on the property and keep our trail cam content current with regular photo and video updates. Once your booking is confirmed, head over to our Facebook page where we post daily footage so you can get a feel for bear activity before you ever set foot on the ground. We're also glad to walk the property with you and help you dial in your scouting - just get in touch after booking and we'll get it set up.
This listing is for a 9-day hunt running on specific dates. This caters to archery or muzzleloader hunters! If you're looking for a shorter rifle hunt, we do offer that option through a separate listing on the IO website - give that one a look if a condensed hunt better fits your schedule and needs.
We're looking forward to hosting you!

Game Trail Videos | Old Glory Powder Company
Pennsylvania's black bear population has grown substantially over the past few decades and now sits right around 18,000 statewide. The state also ranks second among all states and Canadian provinces in black bear entries in the Boone and Crockett Club records - a benchmark that speaks to both the size of the animals and the overall health of the population.
Old Glory offers just over 300 acres of classic Appalachian country, and it is every bit as wild as it sounds. The terrain rolls through mature hardwood ridges, dense wooded hollows, and creek drainages that black bears use as natural travel corridors throughout the season. The combination of heavy timber and natural mast production gives bears everything they need to feed, bed, and move freely across the landscape.
Bear activity on this property is consistent and well-documented. Trail cameras regularly capture bears working through the ground, and the terrain funnels movement in ways that put hunters in position when it counts. This isn't a property where you're hoping a bear wanders through - it's a property that holds them.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates.
