Welcome to Old Glory - a private whitetail hunting property tucked into the hills of Spraggs, Pennsylvania, just a stone's throw from the West Virginia state line. If you've got 5 days to burn during the rut, there's no better place to spend them.
We manage pressure carefully out here. The field stays limited to 3 hunters at a time, so the property never gets overcrowded and deer keep acting like deer. Groups of up to 6 are welcome provided everyone in the group knows each other. Each hunter is set up with 2 dedicated tree stands - 6 total spread across the property - and there are 2 ground blinds available for shared use. Feel free to run our setups or put up your own if you have a preferred approach.
Staying connected to what's happening on the ground is a big part of what we do. Trail cameras run throughout the property year-round, and we post daily updates to our Facebook page so you can follow the action and study deer movement well before your hunt begins. Once you're booked, reach out and we'll walk the ground with you personally to get your scouting headed in the right direction.
This listing covers a 5-day peak rut hunt - a focused, high-intensity window right in the middle of the breeding season when bucks are moving hard and the woods are alive. It's the perfect option if your schedule won't allow for a longer stay. If you want to go all-in and maximize your time on the property during the rut, check out our 14-day peak rut listing on the Infinite Outdoors site.
We're looking forward to hosting you!

When the rut hits, Old Glory's 300-plus acres of southwest Pennsylvania hill country becomes a completely different place. Bucks that spent the early season tucked tight into cover are suddenly on their feet at all hours, working scrape lines along the timber edges and chasing does through the hollows and creek drainages that cut across this property. The terrain here was made for this - natural funnels, defined bedding areas, and open feeding flats all converge in ways that stack the odds in a hunter's favor when deer movement peaks.
The food plots matter, but during the rut they're just one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Bucks aren't thinking about food - they're thinking about does, and does are everywhere on this ground. That kind of chaotic, all-day movement is what separates a rut hunt from everything else on the calendar, and Old Glory delivers it.
Trail cameras don't lie, and ours have been telling the same story for years - mature bucks call this property home, and the rut is the season when they give themselves away. Daylight encounters that wouldn't happen any other time of year become very real possibilities during this window.
The deer are here to back it up. Pennsylvania's statewide herd is estimated at 1.5 million animals, and WMU 2A is one of the only units in the state where the Game Commission reports the population is still climbing. A growing herd means more competition, more chasing, and more action - exactly what you want when you've got a stand to sit.
