Fish range from 12-16″ with the potential for the occasional 20″ or bigger trout. Fly fishing doesn’t get much better than this. A seventh-generation bald eagle family calls the canopy of this property home. The ranch is located only 5 minutes from downtown Carbondale. Camping is also permitted here. For properties listed as "Community Adventures" there is the possibility that a limited number of other anglers can be on the property at the same time. We think it's important to mentor the next generation of anglers. Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 are 50% off for all fishing and small game when you reserve on the Infinite Outdoors app. However, kids 13-17 will need to have an Infinite Outdoors Membership. Youth 12 and under are free and do not need a membership but must follow all property rules.
No, most of our property listings are available to Infinite Outdoors Members without a pass. If you plan on fishing on a regular basis talk to our support team and see if a pass might make sense.
Not all properties have signs, so be sure to check the property boundaries and information in the Infinite Outdoors app.
Access your adventure on the IO app before heading out the door, all the information and maps will be on the app so you don't need service to navigate your adventure. We can't guarantee you'll catch fish every time—fishing always comes with a bit of unpredictability due to factors like weather and fish behavior. However, we do everything we can to boost your chances! We offer information on local fly shops so you can get the best tips and gear recommendations. As for the size of the fish, it really depends on where you're fishing. We aim to connect you with spots where you have a good shot at landing some great catches, but it's all part of the Do-It-Yourself fly fishing adventure!

I fished Diamond Arrow on Saturday June 28, 2025. I found it to be one of the best properties I’ve fished through Rare Waters. If you like large pellet fed fish, head to the pond with the floating dock. While it is fun to see the fish, it is not my style of fishing. Never less, use a fish pellet light tan imitation fly. Head behind the pond to the river and you can wade left to a large run on the left side, fed by oxygen rich from a drop over small pebbles. Fish dry flies, primarily caddis imitations, as close to the bank and vegetation. Nymphing with a Prince as the lead and trailing a black zebra or Barr emerger, depending on the time of day. Further down river is accessed by a groomed trail to a camping spot with a fire pit and picnic table. There are multiple deep runs on the bank that extend out about 10 feet. I only nymphed this in the afternoon using a red perdigo trailing a black zebra. In a three hour period we caught 12+ fish in the 16-18+ range. Primarily rainbows, but a couple of browns and one cut bow. Respect the property and have a blast. We did. Fish ON.

The Diamond Arrow Ranch was fantastic! My brother Norm and I are members and stayed 4 days and 3 nights there! The flow was still high, but we still managed to catch some quality fish. The camp site was great! Had the owner of the property was great!
