Diamond Arrow is now top on my list of properties to go back to. Camped three nights and fished two days. My campsite was right on the Roaring Fork River, 30 feet from the water. Plenty of camp sites to choose from, level ground for my camper van, and even a picnic table. Nice paths both up and down river for accessing the water. The best part, really nice water to fish. Day one was spent catching browns and rainbows on streamers, with day two landing a number on streamers in the morning and the switching to nymphs in the afternoon - netting 15+ trout each day.

We spent two terrific days of camping and fishing at Diamond Arrow and look forward to returning. We didn’t get to meet the owners but I would like to thank them here for all their hospitality and kindness to Rarewaters’ members. A great deal of improvements on both the property and the stream have been made by them to make your stay and fishing there a special experience. The campsite backs right up to the Roaring Fork River and is beautiful and comfortable with a picnic table, dining table, fire ring, and one of the nicest, cleanest Port-A-Johns around. We fished the lower section from the campsite down to the lower boundary and found plenty of willing browns in the 12” - 16” range. Nymphing was the name of the game and nearly all my catches ate size 12 Walts Worms, and Sexy Walts of various colors. Access trails have been cut to make walking easier and you’ll find several nice walk-in spots on different types of water. We could have spent another day on the upper section but didn’t want to get in the way of setup for an event that followed our stay. There are lots of hidden gems here. Good luck trying to hook the 24” brown that hangs around the footbridge. He has a super protected hideout and is a VERY picky eater. Can’t wait to go back here and, again, many thanks to the owners for all they’ve done.

Beautiful camping spot, so peaceful. Good streamer action in the evenings. Some pretty big brown trout in there! Will be back for sure.
