5 out of 5 stars

I had an excellent day at Diamond Arrow on August 14, 2025. At about 300cfs it was easy to wade and the fish were hungry for nymphs and streamers. I fished from about noon to 5pm. Fished upstream with a big chubby for indicator followed by a pats rubber legs and a small nymph. Bright sunny day wet wading. The river is fairly flat with some ripples and pools. Caught a few browns and much more rainbows. Turned around and fished downstream with smallish streamers and caught quite a few nice fish. The Roaring Fork can be difficult to wade with normally higher flows so I took advantage and had a great time. I’ll be returning to Diamond Arrow.

Fish per mile seemed way down compared to prior years I have fished the Roaring Fork. I picked the property for the opportunity to fish the spring creeks but was frustrated at the lack of fishable access to them. Spring Creek Ranch would be my pick over this one if I had to choose.
