Notes from the landowner

Infinite Outdoors and landowners across the country, along with outdoor industry sponsors, are excited to increase access to your public lands through the Access Granted initiative. This program's goal is to bring the public free access to land that is rightfully owned by you. Through Access Granted, Infinite Outdoors and partners are proud to provide access to 168 acres of Wyoming State Land with approximately 1/2 mile of fishing access on Deer Creek. Please note that access to this property a full 24 miles from I-25. It is all 2 track, county road, and back roads to the stream, so allow yourself at least 40 minutes to make the drive from the interstate. Fishing here will consist of tight quarter casting on skinny water. Anglers should note that all access on this property is limited to state property only; make sure the public land layer in the Infinite Outdoors app is active. Parking is permitted in the designated spots in the IO app only: Do Not make your own parking spots. Park in assigned locations and proceed on foot only.

Game and habitat information

This area of Deer Creek is also known as Deer Creek Section 1. It offers opportunity for multiple species of fish, including brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout. Most frequently in this section of Deer Creek, anglers are landing brown trout and rainbow trout. Even though the stream is smaller in size, it produces pockets of water that hold fish 20 inches and bigger. Anglers will be expected to follow all state of Wyoming fishing regulations on this property.
