12This property is one of 12 that are a part of the Oregon Trail Waterfowl Pass. Access is limited to Oregon Trail Waterfowl Pass Holders or their guests - for more information about the pass, inquire within IO. With about 350 yards of huntable river and direct access to a back-channel slough, this blind offers a little extra variety. The slough tends to hold water most of the year and is a favorite loafing and feeding spot for ducks in this stretch. Access is straightforward from the road, with just a short 50-yard walk to the blind. A 4-man ALPS A-frame is provided, but plan accordingly if you’re bringing a bigger group. Dogs are welcome for retrieving, though hunters can manage without if they’re careful wading the river. Stick to the boundaries marked for your hunt and remember no vehicles off the road.
This property sit along a prime stretch of the North Platte River outside Torrington, Wyoming—a region well known for outstanding waterfowl hunting. Ducks and geese move through heavily during the migration, and the mix of slower bends, sandbars, and side channels creates excellent loafing, feeding, and roosting habitat. Mallards, pintails, teal, and wigeon are common along this river, while Canada geese use the Platte as a major corridor throughout the fall and winter. The combination of moving water, seasonal sandbars, and backwater sloughs provides consistent opportunities across the entire season. With reliable access and quality blind setups, hunters will find these riverfront properties well-positioned for memorable waterfowl hunts.

There is a provided 4-man blind on this property. That being said, hunters are encouraged to account for additional time before the hunt starts, to add brush to the blind and improve the hide.
