Notes from the landowner

Welcome to Bull Springs Outpost - a property rooted in history, as this 80-acre tract in Sweetwater County once served as the site of a historic outpost on the Wyoming frontier.

Situated northwest of Rawlins in WY Area 61, this property sits at a unique position within the checkerboard land pattern. It is one of the last private parcels before the landscape opens into expansive, publicly accessible BLM ground. Our property borders BLM on two sides: to the east, BLM that is easily and freely accessible to the public; and to the south, a full section of BLM that has historically been difficult to reach without either private land permission or corner crossing. This listing gives you clean, straightforward, no-grey-area access to that southern BLM section.

The private acreage itself is virtually untouched. It has received zero hunting pressure over the year making it a true DIY pronghorn experience the way it was meant to be. Access is simple: follow the public 2-track through BLM and into the private boundary. A 2WD vehicle will handle the drive just fine in dry conditions, but we strongly recommend 4WD as the season progresses and Wyoming weather does what Wyoming weather does.

Please treat the land with care and respect. We hope you enjoy your time out here - and even more, we hope you find some success. Good luck!

Game and habitat information

This property sits in Sweetwater County in the heart of classic Wyoming pronghorn habitat. The landscape is a mix of open sagebrush flats, native bunchgrass, and sandy draws. On wet years there is a drainage that will collect water, but otherwise not much water to be found within the private boundaries. The surrounding BLM and other private parcels do have water sources that will help keep game in the area.

The Red Desert of Sweetwater County is one of the most productive pronghorn habitats in the state. Mature bucks regularly run 70–78 inches, with the occasional buck touching 80. Area 61 has earned recognition as one of Wyoming's top DIY pronghorn destinations.

The herd is currently in recovery following the hard winter of 2022–23, but numbers are trending upward. Fawn-to-doe ratios in this area have been on the rise since 2024. Whether you're chasing trophies or filling the freezer, you'll find seclusion and opportunity at Bull Springs Outpost.

Harvest Reports

After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.

Payment Process

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will automatically process 2 weeks after draw results post in Wyoming. The remaining 50% will automatically process 1 month prior to the adventure start date.

Cancellation Policy

For big game adventures, cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be handled immediately with no penalty. If a cancellation is requested after a deposit has been placed, Infinite Outdoors will make every effort to reschedule the hunt for a different season or a future year. Refunds are not guaranteed once a deposit has been placed.

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

Trespassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
