The San Saba River runs right through the property, offering a relaxed, do-it-yourself, catch-and-release fishery. You'll drive in, park where the road ends, and have the river to yourself for the day. Expect largemouth bass, spotted bass, and a shot at Guadalupe bass, Texas's state fish and a Hill Country specialty. All fish are catch and release. San Saba River is known for it's clear slow flowing waters.
*Campfires are prohibited on this property.
The San Saba is a classic Hill Country stream — clear, spring-fed water with deep pools, eroded banks, and heavy pecan/oak cover along the bank, which is exactly the structure bass key in on. Reliable water year-round keeps the fishery consistent across seasons, with spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) generally offering the most active fish as water temperatures sit in a comfortable range.
