River, Guides AllowedDiscover a serene 1.5-mile stretch of the Colorado River near Glenwood Springs, Colorado, with breathtaking views of the Grand Hogback. Despite being close to I-70, the road's sights and sounds won't disrupt your fishing experience. Eagles' nests adorn the property, adding to the natural beauty and wildlife sightings while you fish. The river is very approachable throughout the property, revealing a tapestry of long runs and inviting pockets lining the bank. You can expect to catch brown trout and rainbow trout in the 14-18" range on average and this river holds the promise of hooking truly large fish, adding an element of excitement to every cast. The trails from parking locations are fairly flat and easily navigable. Depending on the water flow, you may find yourself wading along sandy banks or gravel beds, varying in size from 4 to 12 inches. The upper section ensures easy wading access, while downstream, the banks present a steeper challenge before mellowing out in the lower section. Don't hesitate to explore the middle section, despite its steeper banks, as you can still walk or wade into the river. There are some really nice long runs on this property perfect for swinging flies.
Due to livestock and other concerns, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted on this property.
