This property is tucked into old growth forest that is lush and provides a sense of serenity while you are on the water. This property has a park-like setting with groomed trails along the river bank, it has easily walkable streams and river crossings. Ankle/shin-deep water in the summertime and mid-wader water for fall steelhead fishing. Access should be fairly easy for all anglers. The river is wide enough to make your full cast up and down the river while wading in the river. However, the banks are heavily wooded so if you are fishing from the bank you may need to use your roll cast or bow and arrow cast. The highlight of this property is the spring and fall steelhead run.

March to May: This is the beginning of the steelhead run which is what you book this property for! Classic steelhead patterns are the Green Butt Skunk, Purple Peril, and Marabou Spey.
June to August: Focus will shift to the native cutthroat trout. The river flow will be lower and clearer. This is a great time for dry fly fishing. Morning and evenings are when the trout are more active and you will have more productive fishing. Expect to catch trout in the 6 - 12" range. Great dry flies to use are the Elk Hair Caddis, Royal Wulff, and the Stimulator.
September to November: This is the second steelhead run of the year, known as the fall run.
December to February: The winter steelhead run is known for the size and strength of the fish. The weather will be cooler and the river may be higher. Recommended Rod: 9 ft, Medium-weight fly rod (6-8 weight).
For summer brook trout fishing, use 4 weight rods, and 2x tippet.

What a stretch of beautiful river. I'm defiantly going back in the summer for dry fly but had a great time fishing. Amazing property, great escape from Portland for a day of fishing. I saw a bald eagle when i pulled in to the property, an elk, a deer, and wild turkeys. Plus of course some caught fish. A great day of nature and fishing. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a great day on a river
