Stag Camp is a 130-acre property tucked into the Aeneas Valley in GMU 204, with thousands of acres of Okanogan National Forest just minutes down the road. This is a DIY predator hunt targeting coyotes and bobcats - come prepared with your own calls, decoys, and gear. The mixed meadow and conifer timber on this property gives hunters a versatile setup, with open ground to work calls across and timber edges to watch for cats and dogs slipping in. There is no limit on the number of hunting locations you can set up on the property, so feel free to move around and cover ground throughout your stay. Access is straightforward via county roads, with a gated entrance and designated parking for trucks and ATVs. Hunters looking for a comfortable base camp will find great options at the national forest campground just a half mile down the road.
Stag Camp's 130 acres of mixed meadow and conifer timber in the Aeneas Valley create a natural setting for predator hunting, with the transition zones between open ground and timber edge being prime territory for calling in both coyotes and bobcats. Coyotes are the dominant predator presence on this property and in the surrounding Okanogan - hunters should expect consistent opportunity on them throughout the season. Bobcats are present in this country but are far less predictable and far fewer in number, so while an encounter is certainly possible, the realistic focus of a hunt here is coyotes. The thousands of acres of Okanogan National Forest bordering the property keep predator numbers healthy and provide a constant source of animals moving through. Beyond the hunting itself, active predator management on this property directly benefits the deer and turkey populations that call Stag Camp home - fewer coyotes means better fawn and poult survival rates each spring, which contributes to the overall herd and flock health on the property.
