Bull Springs offers DIY small game hunting on an 80-acre tract of private land surrounded by BLM. Find this property just north of Rawlins, WY in Sweetwater County - uniquely one of the last private parcels moving north before you enter into expansive public land.
Our property borders BLM on two sides - some that is publicly accessible, and some that can only be accessed with permission through other private property, or by corner crossing. Our property offers you straightforward access to an entire section of BLM, no gray areas.
Historically our property has received no hunting pressure - by making a reservation here you will be among the first people to actively hunt this land in years. Access to the private property is done via a public 2-track through BLM that takes you right to our private boundary. A 2WD vehicle will be just fine in dry conditions, but we recommend 4WD if the weather turns. Please treat our property with respect, and we hope you enjoy it just as much as we do.
The terrain offered on Bull Springs Outpost caters to a number of small game species that take advantage of the productive habitat.
Sage grouse thrive in this type of country, and as fall arrives and temperatures drop, birds begin congregating into larger coveys — making them easier to locate and hunt. Cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits are abundant throughout the sagebrush and draw edges, and the wide-open terrain is tailor-made for calling coyotes. Mourning doves are also common in sage grouse country, but will only be in the area for a short period of time during their migration.
On wet years, a drainage on the property will hold small amounts of water, pulling wildlife in from the surrounding area. The private acreage has seen minimal hunting pressure, and the adjacent BLM gives you room to roam well beyond the property boundary.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. The outdoorsman fee will automatically process 48 hours prior to the adventure. It is the responsibility of the party organizer to ensure each guest is added to the adventure more than 48 hours out, so charges can process accordingly.
For small game adventures, cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled adventure will not be charged. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the adventure will be charged the full outdoorsman fee.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
