C1(A)Horse Pasture Duck Haven is located just outside of Yoder, Wyoming, in the Central Flyway. This property is known for its waterfowl hunting and can offer great days in the field. This property has been great for duck hunting in seasons past. Upon arriving, hunters will be able to see 3 hay bale blinds available for use. Depending on wind and other factors, hunters can pick and choose which blind they want to utilize. When mid-day hits, hunters can walk along the canal at the very north border of the property to jump-shoot ducks. Water levels can drop in the later parts of the seasons. This is a DIY hunting opportunity. Hunters must bring all necessary gear for successful outings. Additionally, all attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors.
Horse Pasture Duck Haven gives access to an excellent waterfowl pond with plenty of brush around the edges to stay concealed. Access to a small canal also provides the opportunity for different hunting styles. You will likely see a variety of duck species, with the occasional goose. The hunting blind will be located on the northern rim of the pond and access to the property will be located on the southeastern boundary. This private marsh is one of three in the surrounding area and provides large numbers of ducks year-round. Agriculture in the surrounding area serves as an additional food source for the marsh. Ducks will utilize the marsh habitat here for feeding, as migrating birds need crucial protein from invertebrates and aquatic plant species. Early season is likely the best opportunity to target waterfowl in this area due to standing water freezing later in the season.

Place had very little water maybe a 10ft by 10ft, blind was just haybales stacked. Left you very exposed. Stayed maybe 15 minutes. Maybe take it off the app when it runs out of water?

This was a tough day of hunting even though the site was nice. The pictures online did not represent the present condition of the site, unfortunately. The overgrown reeds made duck retrieval impossible without a dog. There were definitely ducks in the area but we spent so much time attempting to retrieve the few ducks we downed that it made for a challenging day. The area was super easy to access and only a short walk to the blinds.

Cool property and definitely has ducks around. Don’t book unless you have a dog as finding birds in the reeds is tough. The satellite imagery doesn’t show how thick the reeds are and they cover 75% of the pond.
