Triple Threat is an aptly named property, offering three designated blind locations spread across just under 60 acres in GMU 125. No blinds are provided, so plan to bring your own popup and give yourself plenty of time before first light to get set up and settled. This is a stationary hunt - hunters are expected to stay within their designated blind location for the duration. The landowner will be in touch prior to your hunt to get you squared away on which spot is yours. It's likely that at least one other blind location will be in use at the same time, particularly on weekends - weekdays may offer more solitude on the property. GMU 125 licenses are available over the counter, making it easy to grab a tag and get after it.
Triple Threat sits along a bend in the Arkansas River just outside of Swink, Colorado, where the habitat does a little bit of everything. The property features a mix of dense cottonwood timber, open interior clearings, and agricultural field edges - the kind of varied terrain that gives Rio Grande turkeys exactly what they need to feed, travel, and roost without going far. GMU 125 is characterized by short-grass prairie with cottonwoods concentrated in creek and river bottoms, and this property captures that transition in a compact footprint. Birds working the river bottom will naturally filter through the timber and into the open pockets on the property, making the three designated blind locations well-suited to intercept them at different points in their daily routine. Rio Grande turkeys along the Arkansas tend to stay tight to the river bottom rather than roaming wide, which keeps birds moving through a predictable corridor - and Triple Threat sits right in the middle of it.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Outdoorsman fees will automatically process 7 days prior to the adventure. It is the responsibility of the party organizer to ensure each attending guest is added to the adventure at least 7 days prior, so they are charged accordingly.
For turkey adventures, cancellations must be made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled hunt. Cancellations made within 7 days of the hunt will be subject to full charges.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
