This section of the Laramie River is a pistine stetch of beautufil Wyoming remote water. For the last 40 years this has been fished by a close knit group of anglers who have been invovled with the the landowners to respectfully fish and preserve this amazing watershed. Currently this property is not open to the public or other users.
The North Laramie River flows east out of the Laramie Mountains before joining the main Laramie River north of Wheatland. The upper reaches hold cold, clear water fed by Medicine Bow National Forest drainages, with the kind of brushy, undercut banks that shelter wild trout. Access along private stretches west of Wheatland is limited, making this water a genuine find for anglers willing to work smaller water for browns and the occasional rainbow in a setting that sees far less pressure than better-known Wyoming fisheries.
All residents and non-residents required to have current WY fishing license - https://wgfd.wyo.gov/apply-or-buy
