1 DayPark Creek #17 – Layout Field is a DIY goose hunting layout property located outside of Wellington, CO. Within the Central Flyway and in the northern boundaries of the front range, this property sits on approximately 60 acres of alfalfa. This property does not have a pit, but hunters are encouraged to bring a layout blind or a-frame for the best results. Placed directly in the middle of two reservoirs, this property sits in an ideal location; especially because one of those reservoirs will have open all year round. To the northeast is the Rawhide Energy Station, which creates open water roosting areas that will help with hunting in the late season. To the west is Park Creek Reservoir, which will also influence the population of birds in this area. Access to this property will be shown in the adventures tab of the Infinite Outdoors app upon booking. Infinite Outdoors members should take notice of their exclusive discount to Alps Outdoorz, for all things layout blind hunting related. All parties must be members of IO to access this property, and Colorado state rules and regulations must be followed.
Park Creek #17 – Layout Field is a property in the front range of northern Colorado. This property has everything geese are looking for, from nutrient rich alfalfa to the nearby Park Creek and Rawhide reservoirs for their fill of water vegetation. A large amount of decoys is likely to stand out from any neighboring fields, especially when trying to coerce such social animals as geese. Dark geese are likely to be the majority of birds in the area, but will not be the only one seen throughout any given season. Being in a cluster of agricultural fields, and allowing birds to pick their grain of choice, hunters can plan to see geese moving from field to field throughout the day as well.
